On the fifth day of cookies my sweet love gave to me Fantasy Fudge ! Today we are making a something different. I know it is not a cookie but fudge is something that is super yummy and everyone loves it! This is a traditional and easy fudge!
3 cups of sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 small can ( 5oz)evaporated milk ( about 2/3 cup) Do not use sweetened condensed milk)
3 pkg ( they are 4 oz each) Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate chopped up.
1 jar ( 7 ounces) Jet Puffed marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp vanilla
Line a 9 inch square pan with foil. Bring sugar, butter, evaporated milk to a full rolling boil. Watch and make sure it does not boil over. Stir constantly. Cook 4 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees ( or soft candy stage which is it will make a firm ball when dropped in ice water).
Add chocolate and marshmallow creme. Stir until melted and you can add nuts ( I do not add the walnuts because I prefer a more smooth fudge) and vanilla. Mix well.
Pour into pan and spread evenly. Cool completely and use the foil to life the fudge out of the pan. Cut into even squares.
This is one of my favorite recipes! I hope that you enjoy it as much as my family does!
