On the  seventh day of cookies my sweet love gave to me S’mores Blondies! Yes Yes I know  this is yet another non cookie recipe but it just is way to awesome to pass up! If your family is like my family then they go crazy for these awesome S’mores Blondies!  Well here we go…

Ingredients:
8 tablespoons ( 1/2 cup or 1 whole stick of butter) unsalted butter, have a little extra for the pan
1 cup of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 and 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 large eggs
1 cup pecans or walnuts ( your choice for your favs!)
4 graham crackers, broken into pieces
1 cup miniature marshmallows ( Or big ones cut into small pieces)
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. This one bar you will want to make sure you line the bottom of  a 9 by 13 baking pan with aluminum foil. You are going to want to butter the foil so the blondies will come loose easier. In a medium bowl,  mix the dry ingredients- flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a medium saucepan melt the butter over low heat. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the brown sugar and vanilla. Whisk in the eggs until combined. Mix the wet and dry ingredients until combined. Add the nut of your choice in the end.
  3. Spread the flour- nut mixture into the 9 by 13 pan. Bake this until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. This is 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle with graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate chips and bake until the marshmallows are a pale golden brown. This can take 7 to 8 minutes more of baking.  You will want to allow the pan and bars to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled lift the foil out of the pan and place on the cutting surface. Peel the foil away from the blondies and cut into bars. This should make 24 bars.

This is another amazing recipe that can be found here at Real Simple

I hope you enjoy this amazing recipe and our family eats them all! Until next time friends,
